9. FY 2023-24 Public Safety Contract Amendment\nRecommendation:\nIt is recommended that the Town Council:\n1. Approve the Town’s participation in the Morongo Basin Station\nTrailing K9 program, providing crucial search capabilities to the Town\nand broader area.\n2. Approve an amendment for fiscal year 2023-24 to the contract with\nthe San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department for a revised amount\nof $6,342,758 and authorize the Town Manager or Mayor to sign on\nbehalf of the Town, and direct staff to include funding for the proposed\namended contract as part of the final FY2023-24 Amended Budget.
