8N. Community Services - Accept and Appropriate Funds and Award Contract\nServices Agreement for Overnight Security Guard Services. Expenditure: Not-\nto-Exceed $199,912.32 (Non-General Fund).\nRecommendation of the Community Services Director that City Council:\n1) Accept and appropriate funds from the Fiscal Year 2022 Economic Development\nInitiative Community Project Funding Grant (B-22-CP-CA-0120) to a newly created\nGrant Project in the amount of $1,000,000; and\n2) Award a contract services agreement to Absolute International Security, Inc. of\nIrwindale, CA (RFP B2023-28) for an amount not-to-exceed $199,912.32 to provide\nencampment prevention overnight security guard services at various city parks and\nfacilities for a one-year priod beginning September 12, 2023 and ending September\n11, 2024 with two (2) one-year renewal options; and\n3) Authorize the City Manager as the City's Authorized Representative to execute all\ngrant-related documents and to act on the City's behalf with respect to the grant\nagreement and all decisions in connection with the grant agreement.
