11. 23-1024 Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute all\nnecessary documents and any subsequent amendments, including any\namendments to the award amount and term dates, with the California\nOffice of Traffic Safety to accept and expend grant funding in the amount\nof $326,477 for the Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Initiative (Walk and Roll\nLong Beach) to reduce preventable pedestrian and bicycle injuries and\nfatalities in Long Beach for a 12-month period estimated to begin October\n1, 2023 through September 30, 2024, with an option to extend the\nagreement for an additional 36-month period at the discretion of the City\nManager; and\nIncrease appropriations in the Health Fund Group in Health and Human\nServices Department by $17,466, offset by grant revenue.
