Appropriate Funds for the Removal and Replacement of Diseased Palm Trees on\nthe east Manhattan Beach Boulevard City Median and Award Construction\nServices Contract to Moon Valley Nurseries.\nRecommendation: that the City Council authorize the funding of $106,049.87 for the\nremoval and replacement of the palm trees within the west median at Manhattan Beach\nBoulevard and Prairie Avenue intersection. Staff also recommends that the City Council\naward a construction services contract in the amount of $106,049.87 to the lowest bidder,\nMoon Valley Nursery, for the removal of the existing two palm trees, and planting of\nthree (3) new date palms.
