2.X. CO-SPONSORSHIP OF WORLD DOG DAY 2023\n[Y. QUARKER, C. SMITH, M. REATH, B. SMITH]:\nThe City Council will consider co-sponsoring World\nDog Day to be hosted by The Vanderpump Dog\nFoundation on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from\n11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in West Hollywood Park.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Authorize the co-\nsponsorship of World Dog Day on Saturday,\nDecember 2, 2023, and approve the use of Northern\nsections of West Hollywood Park on December 1,\n2023, for set up, and December 2, 2023, for the\nevent; 2) Authorize December 3rd, 8th, 9th, and 10th\nas potential back-up dates in case of inclement\nweather on December 1st and 2nd; 3) Approve a Co-\nSponsorship Agreement with The Vanderpump Dog\nFoundation for World Dog Day 2023; 4) Authorize the\nCity Manager to execute documents incident to the\nAgreement; 5) Authorize the use of the City name\nand logo on invitations, programs, and other\ncollateral materials; 6) Authorize the use of 75\nparking spaces in the 5-Story Parking Structure on\nDecember 2nd for event volunteers and vendors.\nWith the potential loss of revenue in the amount of\n$900; 7) Authorize the use of 9 parking meters on\nDecember 1st and 2nd for vendor load-in and load-\nout. With the potential loss of revenue in the amount\nof $432; 8) Waive fees for Building and Safety\npermits, Film Permits, Major Event Park Space Use\nFee, and Special Event permit (approximately\n$7,945); and 9) Direct the Communications\nDepartment to utilize all appropriate communications\ntools to promote the event such as the City's website\nand social media tools.\nSTAFF REPORT
