9.4 Authorize the Purchase of a Utility/Command Vehicle for the Fire Department.\nRecommendation:\nAdopt a Resolution Entitled, "Resolution of the City Council of the City of National City,\nCalifornia, Authorizing the Informal Bid Process Pursuant to National City Municipal Code\nSection 2.60.210, Open Market Procedure When Informal Bidding Required, Regarding the\nPurchasing of the lowest of three bids and Authorizing the City to purchase from Perry Ford\nof National City One (1) Ford Super-Duty F-350 Lariat 4X4 Crew Cab Pickup Not-to-Exceed\nAmount of $74,986.00 for the Fire Department and Authorizing the City Manager to Approve\nAdjustments to the Not-to-Exceed Amount for the Purchase of up to $78,736.00 as a 5%\nContingency for Unforeseen Fluctuations in Pricing; 2) Approving Appropriations from the\nGeneral Fund and Vehicle Replacement Fund in the Amount of $78,736.00 including a 5%\nContingency Based on Increased Revenue from the Lower Sweetwater Fire Protection\nPage 2 of 4\nDistrict; and 3) Adding the Vehicle to the Vehicle Replacement Schedule Based on Annual\nReimbursements from the California Office of Emergency Services.”
