AUTHORITY TO ADVERTISE FOR CONSTRUCTION: STANTON CENTRAL PARK\nSHADE STRUCTURE INSTALLATION PROJECT\nThe plans and specifications for the Stanton Central Park Shade Structure Installation\nProject are complete. The City Engineer is recommending City Council approve the\nspecifications and plans for bidding, subject to revision by the City Engineer and the\nCity Attorney, to ensure the construction contract is awarded in an efficient and timely\nmanner. The Project plans and specifications are available in the City Engineer’s Office\nfor review.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council finds that this project is exempt from the California Environmental\nQuality Act (“CEQA”), Class 1, Section 15301 as a minor exterior alteration of an\nexisting public facility; and\n2. Approve the bid specifications and plans, subject to revisions required by the City\nEngineer and the City Attorney; and\n3. Authorize and advertise for bids the Stanton Central Park Shade Structure\nInstallation Project.\nSeptember 26, 2023
