AUTHORITY TO ADVERTISE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CERRITOS AVENUE\nRESURFACING PROJECT\nThe plans and specifications for the Cerritos Avenue Resurfacing Project are complete.\nThe City Engineer is recommending City Council approve the specifications and plans\nfor bidding, subject to revision by the City Engineer and the City Attorney, to ensure the\nconstruction contract is awarded in an efficient and timely manner. The Project plans\nand specifications are available in the City Engineer’s Office for review.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council find that this project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality\nAct (“CEQA”), Class 1, Section 15301(c) as repair, maintenance, and minor\nalteration of existing public structures; and\n2. Approve the bid specifications and plans, subject to revisions required by the City\nEngineer and the City Attorney; and\n3. Authorize and advertise for bids the Cerritos Avenue Resurfacing Project.
