Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(2) and (e)(3):\nCONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL – ANTICIPATED LITIGATION\nSignificant exposure to litigation pursuant to paragraph (2) of subdivision (d) and paragraph\n(3) of subdivision (e) of Section 54956.9: One Potential Case\nOn behalf of Cari McCormick and a class of similarly situated persons, Aiman-Smith &\nMarcy has submitted a claim to the California Public Employees Retirement System\n(CalPERS), the State of California, and the County of Lake alleging age discrimination in\nCalPERS’s method of calculating certain disability retirement benefits. The claim lists every\ngovernmental agency that offers CalPERS retirement benefits to their employees as a\npotential defendant, including the City of Claremont.
