MURRAY, D.\nSAUNDERS]:\nThe City Council will consider approving the\nsponsorship of the annual Paul Andrew\nStarke Warrior Awards and the co-\nsponsorship of the Foundation for the AIDS\nMonument (FAM) Commemoration Event for\nWorld AIDS Day 2023.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) The City Council\nwill recognize December 1, 2023, as World\nAIDS Day; 2) Approve sponsorship of the\nannual Paul Andrew Starke Warrior Awards on\nNovember 30, 2023; 3) Approve a Co-\nSponsorship Agreement with the Foundation\nfor the AIDS Monument (FAM) for the\nCommemoration Event in recognition of World\nAIDS Day on December 1, 2023; 4) Approve\nthe use of the City Council Chambers and\nother facilities, waive event permits and\nassociated fees; 5) Authorize the use of the\nCity name and logo on invitations and other\ncollateral materials for the events; 6)\nAuthorize the City Manager or his designee to\nexecute documents incident to the Co-\nSponsorship Agreement; 7) Waive parking\nfees at the 5-story parking lot for attendees of\nthe events (estimated to be $1590 in waived\nfees); and 8) Authorize the use of the City\nequipment and set up logistics (estimated $70\nin waived fees per event).\nSTAFF REPORT
