6.C. CO-SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT FOR ACT\nUP LA’S 30TH ANNIVERSARY EVENT [L.\nMEISTER, Y. QUARKER, H. MOLINA, J.\nDEL TORO, M. WATSON]:\nThe City Council will consider approving a Co-\nSponsorship Agreement with ACT UP LA for\nthe 30th Anniversary event on December 2,\n2023, at Plummer Park’s Great Hall/Long Hall.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve a Co-\nSponsorship Agreement with ACT UP LA for\nthe 30th anniversary event on December 2,\n2023, taking place at Plummer Park's Great\nHall/Long Hall; 2) Authorize the City Manager\nor designee to execute documents incident to\nthe Co-Sponsorship Agreement and any other\nancillary City permits that may be required for\nthis event; 3) Authorize the use of the City's\nname and logo on invitations, programs, and\nother collateral materials; 4) Direct the\nCommunications Department to utilize all\nappropriate communication tools to promote\nthe event via the City's website and social\nmedia tools; 5) Approve the use of Great Hall,\nLong Hall, and Great Lawn at Plummer Park,\nwaive any Facility Use Fees, Encroachment\nPermit Fees, and the 3-hour parking limit at\nthe Plummer Park parking lot for event\nparticipants, and any other ancillary City\npermits that may be required for the event\n(estimated $1,074); and 6) Authorize the\nDirector of Finance & Technology Services to\nallocate up to $5,000 from budgeted funds in\nthe Special Council Programs account\nnumber 100-1-01-00-531001 for costs\nassociated with the event.\nSTAFF REPORT\nITEM 6.C. - ATTACHMENT A
