Item No. 32. 2023-0673 CONSIDER AWARD OF A CONSTRUCTION\nCONTRACT TO RJ NOBLE COMPANY FOR PROJECT\nNO. 1642: DEL AMO BOULEVARD PAVEMENT\nREHABILITATION AND CONCRETE REPLACEMENT\nFROM CENTRAL AVE TO WILMINGTON AVENUE;\nAND ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 23-162" A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARSON CITY\nCOUNCIL AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2023/24\nBUDGET IN THE GENERAL FUND AND SPECIAL\nREVENUE FUNDS."\nRecommendation: TAKE the following actions:\n1. AWARD a construction contract for Project No. 1642: Del Amo\nBoulevard from Central Ave to Wilmington Avenue, not to exceed\nthe amount of $2,924,641.10, to the lowest responsive and\nresponsible bidder, RJ Noble Company.\n2. AUTHORIZE the expenditure of construction contingencies in\nthe amount of $292,464.11 (10%) for any unforeseen construction\nwork such as substructure conflicts, contaminated soil removal and\ndisposal, material testing, and other additional work the city may\nrequest as appropriate that may be necessary to complete this\nproject.\n3. WAIVE further reading and ADOPT Resolution No. 23-162: "A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARSON CITY COUNCIL\nAMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2023/24 BUDGET IN THE\nGENERAL FUND AND SPECIAL REVENUE FUNDS,"\nappropriating $808,560.00 from the unassigned SB-1 fund\nbalance and $728,546 from CIP/General Fund to augment the\ncurrent amount budgeted for Project No. 1642: Del Amo Boulevard\nStreet Improvement from Central Avenue to Wilmington Avenue\n(Exhibit No. 3).\n4.
