Item No. 30. 2023-0598 CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF PLANS AND\nSPECIFICATIONS, AND AWARD OF A\nCONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO BEDROCK GROUP,\nINC. FOR PROJECT NO.1718: JAMES ANDERSON\nPARK, ACCESSIBILITY UPGRADES\nRecommendation: TAKE the following actions:\n1. APPROVE the Plans, Specifications and Estimate for Project\nNo.1718: James Anderson Park, Accessibility Upgrades.\n2. AWARD a Construction Contract to the lowest responsive and\nresponsible bidder, Bedrock Group, Inc. for Project No. 1718:\nJames Anderson Park Accessibility Upgrades, in an amount not to\nexceed $1,688,094.25.\n3. AUTHORIZE the expenditure of construction contingencies in\nthe amount of $168,809.43 (10%) for any unforeseen construction\nwork such as substructure conflicts, contaminated soil removal and\ndisposal, material testing, and other additional work the City may\nrequest as appropriate that may be necessary to complete this\nproject.\n4.
