6. FY 2023 U.S. Department of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial\nJustice Assistance Grant (JAG23) Award\nRECOMMENDATION:\nThat the City Council takes the following actions:\n1. Authorizes the City Manager, or designee, to accept the FY 2023 U.S.\nDepartment of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant\n(JAG23) in the amount of $44,545.00 and to execute any grant documents\nand agreements necessary for the receipt and use of these funds; and\n2. Appropriates $44,545.00 of the FY 2023 U.S. Department of Justice\nAssistance Grant (JAG23) to purchase Inspection, Training, and Personnel\nsoftware, 2 E-bikes, 25 Red Dot Sight Optics & accessories, and 25 holsters.
