Item 330: First Amendment to Agreement with Hugo Parker, LLP to Provide Continuing Legal\nServices for Cadena v. City of San Diego.\nThis item will be considered in the morning session which is scheduled to begin at\n10:00 a.m.\nTotal Estimated Cost of Proposed Action and Funding Source:\nTotal contract amount not-to-exceed $500,000.00. For Fiscal Year 2024, an estimated\namount of $100,000.00 will be paid from the Public Liability Fund.\nCouncil District(s) Affected: Citywide.\nProposed Actions:\n(O-2024-23)\nIntroduction of an Ordinance authorizing the First Amendment to the legal services\nagreement between the City and Hugo Parker, LLP to increase the total amount of time\nunder the contract beyond four years, for a period not to exceed six years and to increase\nthe total not-to-exceed amount to $500,000.00 from $300,000.00. The increase is\nnecessary to continue work the Law Firm is performing on behalf of the City, which\nincludes defending the City in the active litigation matter Cadena et al. v.
