e. Additional Compensation for Utility Supervisor Assigned to Standby - After the\npromotion of employee Ralph Hernandez to Utility Supervisor, the City has a need for an\nemployee to serve in a back-up standby duty role. Since no other non-exempt employees\ncurrently qualify for this role, the City Council is requested to authorize, by minute order,\nadditional compensation for Mr. Hernandez to serve on standby when needed.\nStaff recommends that the City Council authorize, by minute order, that Ralph\nHernandez receive additional compensation as provided under Article 12 of the\nLa Verne City Employees’ Association Memorandum of Understanding when assigned\nto standby duty.
