5.E. SPONSORSHIP OF PANEL DISCUSSION OF DOCUMENTARY\nMOTHERLAND [S. SHYNE, Y. QUARKER, A. LOVANO, J. DEL\nTORO, J. DUCKWORTH]:\nThe City Council will consider sponsoring a film screening and\npanel discussion of the documentary Motherland. The exact date of\nthe event is still being determined, but it is expected to take place in\nMarch 2023 in the City Council Chambers.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve the sponsorship of a film\nscreening and discussion of the documentary Motherland in the\nCity Council Chambers; 2) Authorize the use of the City name and\nlogo on invitations, programs, and other collateral materials; 3)\nDirect the Communications Department to utilize all appropriate\ncommunication tools to promote the event, such as the City's\nwebsite and social media tools; 4) Authorize the Director of Finance\nand Technology Services to allocate $2,000 from unallocated\nGeneral Fund reserves to the Special Council Programs Account\n100-1-01-00-531001 and increase the budget for Special Council\nPrograms by the same amount; and 5) Authorize the Director of\nFinance and Technology Services to allocate $2,000 from Fiscal\nYear 2022-23 funds in the Special Council Programs account\nnumber 100-1-01-00-531001 for costs associated with technical\nsupport (Waveguide) and marketing.\nSTAFF REPORT\nEXCLUDED CONSENT CALENDAR: Items removed from the Consent\nCalendar for separate discussion are considered at this time.
