A Consideration and possible action to authorize the Mayor to execute a\nthree-year Employment Agreement (Agreement File No. 1020) with Mr. Ryan\nSmoot, in a form approved by the City Attorney, for City Manager services.\nFiscal impacts include, without limitation, a (1) base compensation for a total\nof $271,000 beginning January 1, 2024; (2) vehicle allowance of $600 per\nmonth; (3) deferred compensation at the maximum IRS amount; and\n(4) medical, disability, and other fringe benefits including, without limitation,\nCalPERS retirement benefits. The total compensation package is\napproximately $408,000.\nRecommendation to City Council: 1) Authorize the Mayor to execute Agreement\nFile No. 1020 with Mr. Ryan Smoot, in a form approved by the City Attorney; or\n2) Alternatively, discuss and take other action related to this item.
