RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF BELL GARDENS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE\nPROPOSED CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENTS WITH 3M COMPANY (“3M”) AND THE\nDUPONT DEFENDANTS IN THE PUBLIC WATER SYSTEMS’ PORTION OF THE MULTI-\nDISTRICT LITIGATION MATTER RELATING TO PFAS CONTAMINATION OF DRINKING\nWATER\nConsideration of a Resolution authorizing the City to participate in the proposed Class Action\nSettlements with 3M company (“3M”) and the Dupont Defendants in the Public Water Systems’\nportion of the multi-district litigation matter relating to PFAS contamination of drinking water.\nRecommendation:\nIt is staff’s recommendation that the City Council approve the attached Resolution authorizing the\nCity to continue to be a part of the partial settlements with defendants.
