12.6 Consideration and Adoption of a Special Fund Budget for State of California Highway\nPatrol Cannabis Tax Fund Grant Program Grant Funds for the El Monte Police\nDepartment Drug Recognition Evaluator Program.\nRECOMMENDATION OF BUSINESS ITEM UNDER CONSIDERATION:\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Consider and adopt a special fund budget for the State of California Highway Patrol\nCannabis Tax Fund Grant Program grand funds for El Monte Police Department; and\n2. Direct staff to appropriate funds in accordance with the attached budget and amend the\nFY 23/24 Comprehensive Budget of the City of El Monte to include the CHP-DRE Special\nFund budget; and\n3.
