Item No. 32. 2023-0873 CONSIDER AWARD OF A CONSTRUCTION\nCONTRACT TO HZS ENGINEERING, INC. FOR\nPROJECT NO. 919: WILMINGTON AVENUE AND\n223RD STREET - PULL BOX ACCESS\nIMPROVEMENTS (CITY COUNCIL)\nRecommendation: TAKE the following actions:\n1. AWARD a Construction Contract to HZS Engineering, Inc., the\nlowest responsive and responsible bidder, for Project No. 919:\nWilmington Ave and 223rd Street - Pull Box Access Improvements,\nin the not to exceed amount of $113,700.00.\n2. AUTHORIZE the expenditure of construction contingencies in\nthe amount of $11,370.00 (10%) for change orders and any\nunforeseen construction work such as substructure conflicts,\ncontaminated soil removal and disposal, material testing, and\nother work that may be necessary to complete this project.\n3.
