32. Landscape Maintenance Services Sole Source Agreement Amendments\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Health Services to execute sole\nsource amendments to seven agreements for Landscape Maintenance\nServices, four with Parkwood Landscape Maintenance, Inc. and three with Stay\nGreen Inc., to extend the term of each agreement for 12 months until December\n31, 2024, for a maximum amount of $2,389,254, and increase the hourly rates\neffective January 1, 2024, to align with the increase in the Living Wage\nOrdinance rate pursuant to the Chief Executive Office’s notice of Annual\nAdjustment to the Living Wage Rate, dated August 16, 2023; find that the\nLandscape Maintenance Services continue to be performed more economically\nby independent contractors; and authorize the Director to amend the\nagreements to add, delete or and/or modify certain terms and conditions as\nrequired by law, County policy, or the Board, modify the agreements, including\nthe scope of services and operations, to implement improvements and address\nchanges in service needs and requirements and adjust the maximum County\nobligation under the agreements by up to 10% accordingly, incorporate and/or\nrevise non-substantive and administrative terms and conditions with all\namendments, and exercise the County’s right to terminate the agreements in\naccordance with the termination provisions.
