41. California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Services\nAgreement\nRecommendation: Acting as the Governing Body of the Consolidated Fire\nProtection District (District), authorize the Fire Chief to enter into an agreement\nto operate five correctional fire suppression camps in the County in conjunction\nwith the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR),\neffective July 1, 2023, and receive reimbursement for such services in the\namount up to $4,846,894 for Fiscal Year 2023-24; execute any amendments,\nnotice of termination, accept additional reimbursement from CDCR, the Board\nwill be notified via Board Memo if the amount increases more than $500,000\nannually; approve similar agreements with CDCR for the reimbursement of\ncosts incurred from fire protection and emergency medical services; and find\nthat this renewal is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
