29. Transitional Housing Program-Plus Contract Amendments\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Children and Family Services and\nthe Chief Probation Officer, to execute 15 Transitional Housing Program (THP)\nPlus contract amendments with Walden Family Services, Hathaway-\nSycamores Child and Family Services, David & Margaret Home, Inc.,\nCrittenton, First Place for Youth, St. Anne's Family Services, Wellnest,\nEmotional Health and Wellness, and United Friends of the Children, to extend\nthe term effective January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024, the total\nprojected amount of the one-year extension is approximately $8,542,800,\nfinanced using 25% 2011 State realignment funds and 75% THP funds; and\nauthorize the Director and the Chief Probation Officer to take the following\nactions: (Department of Children and Family Services and Probation\nDepartment) APPROVE\nExtend the contracts for up to six additional months by written notice,\ncontingent upon the California Department of Social Services’ approval,\nif necessary, to complete the Request for Proposals solicitation process,\nprovided that funding is available;\nExecute contract amendments, in the event there is a change in the\nTHP-Plus rate of reimbursement, increase or decrease the maximum\nannual contract amount by no more than 10% to accommodate an\nincrease or decrease in units of services, provided that funding is\navailable and incorporate changes as mandated by Federal, State,\nCounty, or Municipal laws, regulations, or court orders, provided that\nfunding is available;\nTerminate a contract for contractor default or for convenience of the\nCounty;\nExecute contract amendments to increase the maximum contract amount\nto reallocate funding in the event another contract is terminated for\nconvenience or contractor’s default, provided that funding is available;\nand\nPrepare and execute amendments to the contracts for changes affecting\nthe scope of work or any of the terms and conditions included under this\ncontract provided that amendments are consistent with applicable\nFederal, State, and County requirements.
