27. Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Survivor Benefit Claims\nThird-Party Administration Services Contract\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Personnel to execute a Short-Term\nDisability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), and Survivor Benefit (SB) Claims\nThird-Party Administration Services Contract (Contract) with Sedgwick Claims\nManagement Services, Inc., for the provision of STD, LTD and SB Claims\nThird-Party Administration Services for all eligible County employees, effective\nupon execution through December 31, 2026, with up to three consecutive and\nautomatic one-year extension options through December 31, 2029, for a total\nContract amount not to exceed $12,779,672, for the term of the Contract,\nincluding the optional extensions if exercised, plus expenses; and exercise the\nextension options, execute future amendments to the Contract, as necessary, in\norder to add, delete, and/or change terms and conditions required by the\nBoard, and maintain compliance with County policy and Federal, State and\nlocal laws, rules, and regulations, reallocate the components comprising the\ntotal Contract amount, align the Contract with County standards and needs\nincluding, but not limited to, business workflows, protocols, and policies, and\nreduce the scope of services and the total Contract amount.
