A. CONSULTANT SERVICES CONTRACT AWARD TO SWA LANDSCAPE\nARCHITECTS FOR PLAYGROUND RENOVATIONS AT LIVE OAK PARK AND\nTEMPLE CITY PARK\nCity Council is requested to award consultant services contract for the playground\nrenovations at Live Oak Park and Temple City Park.\nPresenter: Parks and Recreation Director\nRecommendation:\n1. The City Council is requested to consider awarding Consultant Services\nContract to the SWA Landscape Architects for the playground renovations at\nLive Oak Park and Temple City Park and authorize the City Manager to enter into\na Contract once reviewed and approved as to form by City Attorney;\n2. Approve a budget amendment in the amount $236,000 from the American\nRescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, Fund 14; and\n3. Find that the Playground Renovation project is not subject to CEQA review\npursuant to 15302(b), which exempts from CEQA review projects that replace\nan existing structure with a new structure that is substantially the same size,\npurpose and capacity. This agenda item meets the criteria for this exemption\nbecause the playground structure will replace the same existing feature at Live\nOak Park and Temple City Park.
