6.A. REQUEST TO CO-SPONSOR THE 2024 BIG\nQUEER FOOD FESTIVAL EVENT [Y.\nQUARKER, C. SMITH, M. REATH, B.\nSMITH]:\nThe City Council will consider a request to co-\nsponsor the 2024 Big Queer Food Festival\nevent to be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, in\nWest Hollywood Park.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve the co-\nsponsorship of the 2024 Big Queer Food\nFestival event, to be held on a Saturday, May\n4, 2024, in West Hollywood Park; 2) Approve\nthe exclusive use of the proposed areas in\nWest Hollywood Park: Basketball Court Area,\nGreat Lawn Area, Robertson Commons Area,\nand South Lawn Area beginning on Friday,\nMay 3, 2024, through Sunday, May 5, 2024; 3)\nAuthorize Big Queer Food Festival to sell\nbeer, wine, and spirits on City Property; 4)\nAuthorize the potential closure of San Vicente\nBoulevard between Santa Monica Boulevard\nand Melrose Avenue on Saturday, May 4,\n2024. Street closure time to be confirmed at a\nlater date; 5) Authorize the City Manager or\nhis designee to negotiate a co-sponsorship\nagreement between Big Queer Food Festival\nand the City; and 6) Waive fees for Major\nEvent Park Space use fees, Street Closure\nfees, Special Event permit fees, Building and\nSafety permit fees, Encroachment permit fees,\nand Film permit fees.\nSTAFF REPORT
