8. PLANNING COMMISSION VACANCY\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council take one of the following three potential actions for\nCommissioner Morales position:\n1. Reappoint Miguel Morales for an additional term on the Planning Commission;\n2. Appoint an individual of the Council’s choosing, or;\n3. Direct that the City Clerk advertise the vacancy on the Planning Commission, instruct\nstaff to establish timeframes for the submittal of applications, and appoint two City\nCouncil members to a Selection Committee to conduct interviews with potential Planning\nCommission applicants.
