Expenditure: None.\nRecommendation of the Finance and Governmental Operations Committee that City\nCouncil:\n1) Provide direction to staff on initiating the process for a proposed increase of one-half\nof one percent (0.5%) to the uniform occupancy tax rate of the City of Torrance; and\n2) Provide direction to staff on initiating the process for a proposed increase of five\npercent (5%) to the business license tax rate of the City of Torrance.
