27. On-Call Operations Telemetry System Maintenance Services Contract\nRecommendation: Award a services contract to Leed Electric, Inc., a Local\nSmall Business Enterprise, for on-call operations telemetry system maintenance\nservices for seawater barriers, spreading grounds, and rubber dams throughout\nthe County, for a one-year term with three one-year and six month-to-month\nextension options, for a maximum potential contract term of 54 months and a\nmaximum potential contract amount of $3,643,057; find that the proposed\ncontract work is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act; and\nauthorize the Director of Public Works to take the following actions:\n(Department of Public Works) APPROVE (NOTE: The Acting Chief\nInformation Officer recommends approval of this item.)\nExecute the contract and exercise the extension options if, in the opinion\nof the Director, Leed Electric, Inc., has successfully performed during\nthe previous contract period, and the services are still required;\nExecute amendments to incorporate necessary changes within the scope\nof work, and suspend work if, it is in the best interest of the County; and\nAnnually increase the contract amount up to an additional 10% of the\nannual contract amount, which is included in the maximum potential\ncontract amount for unforeseen additional work within the scope of the\ncontract if required, and adjust the annual contract amount for each\nextension option over the term of the contract, to allow for an annual Cost\nof Living Adjustment, in accordance with County policy and the terms of\nthe contract.
