Demanding for the Immediate Release of Armenian Hostages Held Captive\nby Azerbaijan\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Barger: Direct the Chief\nExecutive Officer, through the Legislative Affairs and Intergovernmental\nRelations Branch, to send a five-signature letter to United States President\nJoseph R. Biden, Jr., Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and Secretary of the\nTreasury Janet Yellen, urging the Administration to demand Azerbaijan\nimmediately return all Armenian prisoners of war (POWs), hostages, and other\ndetained persons, impose Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act\nviolations on Azerbaijan for the illegal detention, torture, and extrajudicial killing\nof Armenian POWs and hostages, and suspend all United States military and\neconomic assistance to Azerbaijan; and support H. Res. 861, which calls on\nAzerbaijan to immediately release all prisoners of war and captured civilians, by\nsending a letter to Congressman Adam Schiff and the Chair of the House\nForeign Affairs Committee, with a copy to Los Angeles County’s Congressional\nDelegation, and to advocate for the passage of this resolution.
