28. On-Call Cleanup, Removal and Demolition of Substandard Structures\nServices Contract\nRecommendation: Award a services contract to Interior Demolition, Inc., a\nLocal Small Business Enterprise and Community Business Enterprise, for\non-call cleanup, removal, and demolition of substandard structures at various\njobsites within the County, for a one-year term with three one-year and six\nmonth-to-month extension options, for a maximum potential contract term of 54\nmonths and a maximum potential contract amount of $1,633,500; find that the\ncontract work is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act; and\nauthorize the Director of Public Works to take the following actions:\n(Department of Public Works) APPROVE\nExecute and exercise the extension options if, in the opinion of the\nDirector, Interior Demolition, Inc. has successfully performed during the\nprevious contract period, and services are still required;\nExecute amendments to incorporate necessary changes within the scope\nof work, and suspend work if it is in the best interest of the County; and\nAnnually increase the contract amount up to an additional 10% of the\nannual contract amount, which is included in the maximum potential\ncontract amount for unforeseen additional work within the scope of the\ncontract if required, and adjust the annual contract amount for each\nextension option over the term of the contract to allow for an annual Cost\nof Living Adjustment, in accordance with County policy and the terms of\nthe contract.
