16. Provider Participation Agreement Amendment\nRecommendation: Approve and instruct the Director of Public Health to execute\nan amendment to the Provider Participation Agreement (PPA) with Health Net of\nCalifornia, Inc. (Health Net) for PPA Fee-for-Services (FFS) Direct Network, to\ninclude and implement doula services with Medi-Cal Managed Care Plan\n(MMCP), effective upon execution for a 12-month term with successive\none-year extension options, subject to availability of funds, for the provision of\nreimbursable doula services; and authorize the Director to take the following\nactions: (Department of Public Health) APPROVE\nExecute and implement future agreements and/or amendments with\nMMCPs for the provision of reimbursable doula services and other\nCalifornia Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal related services like\nEnhanced Care Management that are consistent with the requirements of\nthe California Department of Health Care Services, effective upon\nexecution, and subject to the availability of funding; and\nExecute amendments to the PPA FFS Direct Network that extends the\nterms as determined by the MMCP funding availability, establish new or\nadjust payment rates, reflect other necessary modifications to the\nagreement to meet contractual, County, State or Federal requirements,\nterminate agreements, and take any additional action required by the\nagreements, to enable the Department of Public Health to effectuate the\nrelevant amendments.
