14. CONSIDER A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN TO INCREASE DENSITIES IN\nTHE MEDIUM INTENSITY AND HIGH INTENSITY LAND USE DESIGNATIONS AND AN\nORDINANCE TO INCREASE THE DENSITY IN THE RESIDENTIAL MEDIUM (RM) AND\nRESIDENTIAL HIGH (RH) ZONES CONSISTENT WITH THE ADOPTED 6TH CYCLE HOUSING\nELEMENT.\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council open the public hearing, receive public testimony on the\nproject, and consider the following actions:\n1. Adopt a Resolution amending the General Plan to increase the density of the Residential\nMedium Intensity land use designation from 14 units per acre to 30 units per acre, and to\nincrease the density of the Residential High Intensity land use designation from 24 units per\nacre to 45 units per acre.\n2. Introduce the Ordinance for first reading and waive full reading of the Ordinance amending\ncertain South Pasadena Municipal Code Sections to increase residential densities in the\nResidential Medium (RM) and Residential High (RH) zones consistent with the General Plan\nAmendment and the 2021-2029 (6th Cycle) Housing Element.\nACTION/DISCUSSION
