5. Supporting Community-Led Climate Resilient Infrastructure Planning\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Solis: Authorize the Executive\nOfficer of the Board to enter into any contracts and agreements necessary to\nsupport the Chief Sustainability Officer, in carrying out the work of the\nInfrastructure LA’s Environmental, Sustainability, and Resiliency Subcommittee\n(Subcommittee), including all contracts and agreements necessary for the\nfacilitation and administration of the work of the Subcommittee, for the purpose\nof obtaining additional grant and funding opportunities, and for the management\nand implementation of grant funds, such as the Integrated Climate Adaptation\nand Resiliency Program (ICARP) grant, in order to support the Subcommittee’s\nwork; and authorize the Executive Officer of the Board to take the following\nactions:\nNegotiate and execute amendments to the contracts/agreements for\nnon-material, technical, and administrative changes to the contract,\nchanges to the scope of work, specifically that which is needed to\nsupport the Chief Sustainability Officer, in carrying out the work of the\nSubcommittee, extending the contract term for up to two additional\none-year periods, extending the contract period an additional 180 days\nto the period of performance, pursuant to the terms of the contract,\nterminate the contract for convenience, when such action is deemed to\nbe in the County’s best interest, and/or revising the terms and conditions\nto align with Board policy changes and directives; and\nAuthorize non-material changes to the contract, pursuant to a change\nnotice or amendment, for general County updates.
