54. Fiscal Year 2023-24 Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Program Grant\nProgram\nRecommendation: Authorize the Sheriff, as an agent for the County, to execute\nan agreement with the California Department of Parks and Recreation (CDPR)\nto accept a grant in the amount of $43,661, for the grant period of November\n19, 2023 through November 18, 2024, with a required match of $14,566, fully\nfunded by the City of Lancaster, for the Department's Lancaster Sheriff's\nStation (5); adopt a resolution authorizing the Sheriff to sign and submit all\nrequired grant documents including, but not limited to, applications,\nagreements, amendments, modifications, annual expenditure reports, final\nreports, extensions, and payment requests that may be necessary for the\ncompletion of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24 Program; approve an appropriation\nadjustment to increase the Department's appropriation by $59,000, $34,000 for\nSalaries and Employee Benefits, and $25,000 for Capital Assets-Equipment, for\nFY 2023-24, to be fully offset by revenue from the State of California\nDepartment of Parks and Recreation, and the City of Lancaster; and authorize\nthe Sheriff to take the following actions: (Sheriff's Department) ADOPT\n4-VOTES\nApply for and submit a grant application to CDPR for the future Program\nfiscal years when, and if, such future funding becomes available; and\nAccept all grant awards for the Program in future fiscal years, if awarded\nby the CDPR, and execute all required grant award documents including,\nbut not limited to, agreements, modifications, extensions, and payment\nrequests, which may be necessary for the completion of the Program in\nfuture fiscal years.
