2. Direct the City Clerk to update the Agency Report of Public Official Appointments\nForm 806 based on the appointments made, delegate the City Manager as signatory\non said form, and direct the City Clerk to place updated Form 806 on the City of\nSanta Clarita website.\n2. ADJUSTMENTS TO LOS ANGELES COUNTY BUSINESS LICENSING\nREGULATIONS FOR GUN AND AMMUNITION DEALERS - On November 7,\n2023, the Los Angeles County (County) Board of Supervisors adopted a Gun and\nAmmunition Dealers Ordinance, establishing new business licensing requirements for\ngun and ammunition dealers in unincorporated areas of the County. Since the Ordinance\nhas taken effect, the City of Santa Clarita has the option to either adopt an ordinance in\nconformance with the County's regulations and continue to have the County Treasurer\nTax Collector regulate gun and ammunition dealers located within the City, or the City\nmay decide not to adopt the County's changes and defer to existing state and federal laws\ngoverning gun and ammunition dealers. This item is for the City Council to review the\ntwo options and provide direction to staff.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council receive a presentation on recent changes to Los Angeles County business\nlicensing regulations for gun and ammunition dealers, review the options presented, and\nprovide direction to staff.\nCONSENT CALENDAR\nAll matters listed under the Consent Calendar are considered routine and will be enacted by one\nmotion by the City Council. The items are not individually discussed by the City Council unless\na request is made by a member of the public or the Council, in which case, the item(s) will be\nremoved from the Consent Calendar and will be considered separately.
