Amendment of Section 2.16.020 of Chapter 10.20 of the El Cajon Municipal Code\nRegarding Salaries of Councilmembers and Mayor\nRECOMMENDATION:\nThat Mayor Wells requests the City Clerk to recite the title.\nAn Ordinance Repealing Section 2.16.020 of Chapter 2.16 and Adding a New Section\n2.16.020 of Chapter 2.16 of the El Cajon Municipal Code Adjusting Salaries of\nCouncilmembers and Mayor Effective January 1, 2025.\nThe proposed ordinance amendment is not subject to the California Environmental\nQuality Act (“CEQA”) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15378(b)(5) because the\nactivity is not a “project” since it is an organizational or administrative activity of\ngovernment that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment.\nCLOSED SESSIONS:
