6. DECLARATION OF INTENTION TO PROVIDE WEED ABATEMENT ON SPECIFIC\nPROPERTIES - Each year, the County of Los Angeles Department of Agricultural\nCommissioner/Weights & Measures conducts inspections for weeds, brush, rubbish, and\nrefuse on public and private property that may be considered a seasonal and recurrent\nnuisance. A list of properties is provided to the City for review. City Council is then required\nto declare its intention to provide for this abatement and set a public hearing for affected\nproperty owners to register objections to said abatement.\nRECOMMENDATION: That the City Council adopt Resolution No. 24-08, “Declaring the\nintention to provide for the abatement of weeds, brush, rubbish, and refuse and setting a\npublic hearing for Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 6:30 p.m.”\nPage 3 of 7
