36. 24-51929 Recommendation to receive and file an amendment to Contract No. 35169 with\nGSSI, Inc., dba General Security Services, of Wilmington, CA, for providing\nsecurity guard services, to increase the contract amount by $500,000, made\npursuant to Chapters 2.69 and 2.85 of the Long Beach Municipal Code (LBMC)\nand in response to the proclaimed emergencies due to the COVID-19 pandemic\nand people experiencing homelessness; and\nAuthorize City Manager, or designee, to execute all documents necessary to\namend Contract No. 35169 with GSSI, Inc., dba General Security Services, of\nWilmington, CA, for providing security guard services, to increase the contract\namount by $695,400, plus an additional $500,000 for emergency services related\nto people experiencing homelessness, for a revised contract amount not to exceed\n$7,831,300, and extend the term of the contract to August 21, 2024.
