Expanding Access to Educational Opportunities\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisors Barger and Hahn: Instruct the\nPresident and Director of the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County\nto take the following actions:\nDraft and disseminate a letter to school districts Countywide, sharing\ninformation on how to access the La Brea Tar Pits mobile museum, in\nconsultation with the Superintendent of the Los Angeles County Office of\nEducation and the Director of Arts and Culture;\nCreate communications content, in partnership with Countywide\nCommunications, to share with relevant County Departments, including\nArts and Culture, Children and Family Services, Parks and Recreation,\nPublic Library, Public Social Services, and Military and Veterans Affairs,\nto let community organizations and residents know the mobile museum is\navailable; and\nEngage with the Center for Strategic Partnerships to explore\nphilanthropic funding streams to support funding for the La Brea Tar Pits\nmobile museum.
