5. Proclaiming February 2024 as Los Angeles County’s “Teen Dating\nViolence Awareness and Prevention Month”\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisors Horvath and Solis: Proclaim\nFebruary 2024 as “Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month”\nthroughout Los Angeles County; encourage all County employees and residents\nto reach out and support agencies throughout the County that provide services\nto youth and survivors of domestic violence and their families, such as those\nlisted on the Department of Public Health’s hotline and resource website;\nencourage all County employees and residents to be aware of warning signs of\nteen dating violence, and to connect youth survivors with trusted adults and\nproviders who provide dating/domestic/intimate partner violence supportive\nservices; and instruct the Director of Public Health to elevate the issue of teen\ndating violence at the February 14, 2024 meeting of the Domestic Violence\nCouncil.
