1-D. Painting Services Contracts\nRecommendation: Authorize the Executive Director of the Los Angeles County\nDevelopment Authority to execute two one-year contracts for painting services\nwith Piana Construction & Painting, Inc., and New Color Co., using up to\n$600,000 in program funds included in the Los Angeles County Development\nAuthority’s (LACDA’s) approved Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24 budget and\nproposed FY 2024-25 budget, effective upon execution by all parties; find that\napproval of the contracts is exempt from the California Environmental Quality\nAct; and authorize the Executive Director to take the following actions:\nAPPROVE\nExecute amendments to the contracts to extend the term for four\nadditional years in one-year increments, with an annual compensation of\n$300,000 per contract, using funds to be included in LACDA’s annual\nbudget approval process;\nAmend the contracts to modify the statement of work, add services, and\nincrease the annual compensation by up to $30,000, 10% per year, per\ncontract, as needed for unforeseen costs; and\nUpon determination, and as necessary, and appropriate under the terms\nof the contracts, terminate either contract for convenience.
