36. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, And Queer+ Tailored Services to\nYouth Sole Source Contracts\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Children and Family Services to\nexecute amendments with Penny Lane Centers, The Help Group and the Los\nAngeles LGBT Center, for the provision of LGBTQ+ Tailored Services to Youth\nin eight Service Planning Areas (SPAs), effective March 1, 2024 through\nFebruary 28, 2025, with a Maximum Contract Amount (MCA) for each contract\nto be $250,000 for each SPA serviced, with a total of eight SPAs, for a\nmaximum annual program budget of $2,000,000, financed by 100% Net County\nCost; and authorize the Director to take the following actions: (Department of\nChildren and Family Services) APPROVE\nAmend contracts to expand services into an adjacent SPA, with the total\nof all MCAs not to exceed $2,000,000;\nExecute amendments to make changes to the contract terms and\nconditions, or to increase or decrease the MCAs up to 20% if either of\nthese is necessary to meet program needs; and\nTerminate the contracts for convenience or default.
