16. Support for Property Taxpayers\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Barger: Direct the Chief\nExecutive Officer to collaborate with the Assessor, the Treasurer and Tax\nCollector, and the Auditor-Controller, to establish a procedure for exempting the\n$200 “Four-Pay Plan” application fee when the escape assessment is the result\nof a County error where, specifically, the procedure should task the Assessor\nwith responsibility to identify escape assessments resulting from a County error\nand thus instruct the Treasurer and Tax Collector to waive the fee for the\naffected property taxpayer, and report back to the Board in writing in 30 days;\nand instruct County Counsel, in consultation with the Treasurer and Tax\nCollector, to report back to the Board in writing in 90 days with an ordinance\nthat amends the County Code to allow the Treasurer and Tax Collector to waive\nthe "Four-Pay Plan" application fee when the escape assessment is the result\nof a County error.
