46. Landscape and Ground Maintenance Services Contract\nRecommendation: Find that landscape and ground maintenance services for LA\nCounty Library facilities (1, 2 and 4) can be performed more economically by\nan independent contractor than by County employees; approve and instruct the\nChair to sign a contract with Sepco Earthscape, Inc., to provide landscape and\nground maintenance services for a maximum period of five years and six\nmonths, for a total contract amount of $2,391,919.20, effective upon Board\napproval, or March 1, 2024, whichever is later; authorize the County Librarian\nto execute amendments to exercise renewal options, increase or decrease the\nnumber or size of facilities or the days of service, and adjust the contract\namount, accordingly; and find that the proposed actions are not a project under\nthe California Environmental Quality Act.
