CONSIDERATION OF ENTERING INTO AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF SIX\nPURCHASE AND SALE AGREEMENTS WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT\nOF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF SIX UNOCCUPIED HISTORIC\nPROPERTIES (1131 COLUMBIA STREET, 216 FAIRVIEW AVENUE, 217 FREMONT AVENUE,\n225 FREMONT AVENUE, 10021 1008 HOPE STREET AND 726 MERIDIAN AVENUE AND 1707\nMERIDIAN AVENUE)\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider entering into and approving the execution of six\npurchase and sale agreements with the State of California, Department of Transportation for the\npurchase of six unoccupied historic properties in the form negotiated and finalized by the City\nAttorney and the City Manager, and authorize the City Manager to take all actions necessary to\nopen escrow, including the payment of the deposit required under the agreements.
