(6)\n23-0911-S1\nCD 8\nMotion (Harris-Dawson - Yaroslavsky) relative to: 1) instructing the City Administrative Officer to identify funds to appropriate/transfer $37,941.30 to the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS), to pay for the costs to secure (fencing and boarding) the nuisance building known as the New Bay Motel located at 8301 South Figueroa Street, inasmuch as the property continues to operate notwithstanding the Council's action on October 25, 2023, pursuant to Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC) Section 12.27.1 (Administrative Nuisance Abatement Proceedings), which declared the site to be a public nuisance and required the discontinuance of the motel use and any similar land uses at the property; and 2) instruct LADBS with the assistance of the City Attorney, take all actions necessary, consistent with LAMC Section 91.9003.4.2 (Notification), to notify the property owner that a lien will be placed against the property, New Bay Motel located at 8301 South Figueroa Street, to cover the cost of vacating and securing the property, and their right to a hearing.\nCommunity Impact Statement: None submitted
