AUTHORIZE the Director of the Bureau of Street Lighting to negotiate and\nBUREAU OF STREET LIGHTING\n(3)\nBPW­2024­0067\nCD ALL\nMEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING – LOS ANGELES COUNTY METROPOLITAN\nTRANSIT AUTHORITY (LACMTA) AND BUREAU OF STREET LIGHTING – ENHANCED\nMTA BUS STOPS SECURITY LIGHTING\nRecommending the Board:\n1. AUTHORIZE the Director of the Bureau of Street Lighting to negotiate and\nexecute a Memorandum of Understanding with LACMTA to design, specify\nequipment and contract out the construction of at least fifty energy efficient\nlighting at/or adjacent to LACMTA bus stops. Energy efficient lighting\nstandard can be powered, as feasible, by renewable energy resources.\nSpecial emphasis will be given where lighting fixture will add additional\nsafety features for LACMTA patrons/riders; and\n2. AUTHORIZE that $1,590,000 grant reimbursements from the State and\nLACMTA can be received and deposited into the Street Lighting\nMaintenance Assessment Fund and subsequently if front funded then\ntransferred back to the Public Works Trust Fund no later than one week after\nthe deposit has been made.\nJOINT REPORT(S)
