24. NOTICE INVITING BIDS: DEMOLITION OF THE FORMER LIBRARY SATELLITE\nBUILDING AT 2025 SOUTH FREMONT AVENUE – F2M24-23, N2M24-31\nStaff applied for, and was awarded, funding from the State of California with assistance\nfrom Assemblymember Mike Fong to expand green space which is in accordance with the\nCity Council’s Strategic Plan objectives for constructing a pocket park at said location. The\ngrant agreement with the State has been fully executed, and all funds for the project must\nbe disbursed by June 30, 2026. The project bids are due no later than 10:30 a.m. on April\n4, 2024 in the office of the City Clerk and will be opened at 11:00 a.m. that same day.\nRecommended Action: City Council authorize staff to circulate a Notice Inviting Bids\nto prospective contractors for demolition services of the former Library Satellite Building\nlocated at 2025 South Fremont Avenue; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary\nto finalize the Council’s action.
